It is an uncommon autoimmune connective tissue disease that affects small blood vessels and internal organs. Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease which means that it is a condition in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues. Our Mother suffered from this disease for many years. After years of long hard battling the disease finally took its toll. We chose this foundation to support, as it is not well known and it is our hope that more attention and research can assist other affected with this disease.
Thank you.
