Eng<br />Jun 10, 1951 &ndash; Mar 11, 2015<br />With tremendous sadness, we announce Tom&rsquo;s unexpected passing from heart failure, at age 63, while at the gym in his beloved &ldquo;Masters&rdquo; condo in Etobicoke. Beloved husband of Teresa (nee Wichert). Predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Lorna Howe and his sister and brother-in- law Karen and Martin Hagerman. Deeply missed by his children, Sarah, Rob (Meghan) and David (Lauren) Howe, and their mother Lynn Mytroen (John). Proud Grandpa to Ainsley, Emily and Kalee. Younger brother to Rick (Pat) and niece Jennifer.<br />Left to grieve are his Mother-in-law, Bozena Wichert, brother-in-law Tom Wichert (Brenda Baird), nephew Alexander and nephew Steven Hagerman (Holly).<br />A graduate of the University of Waterloo, Tom made a career in specialty insurance and engineering. He retired in 2011 after a 33-year career with HSB BI&amp;I, as Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer in Toronto and a 7 year assignment as CUO of HSB EIL in London UK. While living overseas, Tom and Teresa developed a passion for travelling, art, theatre and London life. He loved visiting sacred places including Angkor Wat, the Great Sphinx, and Machu Picchu as well as city breaks in Marrakech, Paris, and Krakow. <br />Tom was respected as a man of integrity, discipline and kindness. His diverse interests &ndash; bridge, golf, tennis, history, yoga, gardening, crosswords and spreadsheets were equally reflected in the Boards he served - IAPA(Industrial Accident and Prevention Assoc.) ICR (Institute for Consciousness Research) and lastly, The Masters Condominium Board. <br />Tom said he had lived an incredible life and loved the personal and business friends he made across Canada, the UK, and USA.
