Kristina Cerpnjak
December 15, 1940 - February 14, 2016
It is with a deep feeling of sadness and sorrow that we say goodbye to Kristina Cerpnjak, aged 75. We marked her peaceful passing, surrounded by family and friends, at 4:15 PM, Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Credit Valley Hospital. She was born December 15, 1940 in Gornja Bistrica, Slovenia, to Steven and Kristina Vucko. In 1961, she emigrated to Canada in the hopes, like many, of a better life. She married and is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Frank.
She is also survived by her two sons, Frank and Michael; one daughter, Kathy (Cerpnjak) Schacht; five grandchildren, John, Christopher and Nicole Cerpnjak, and Derek and Karen Schacht. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Annette, and son-in-law, Rick, along with other family members and friends.
She was of strong will and mind. With a fighting spirit came a kind heart. She took great pride in her life successes, her greatest of which she would remark was her family.
She loved to garden and enjoyed reading and playing card games. Spring was her favorite season, giving her profound enjoyment from the bright colours and scenic views that it would bring. She loved each and every-one of her grandchildren dearly and took great pleasure in hearing their stories and life experiences when they came to visit.
She will be missed each and every day! We are all so grateful to have had her in our lives. Rest in peace.
