Dr. Stephen Po-Ming So
September 13, 1939 - April 4, 2016
Dr. Stephen Po-Ming So passed away peacefully on April 4, 2016, in his 76th year, at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario.
Dr. So was born on September 13, 1939 in Hong Kong, son of Shue-Wing Sue and Rita Sue, brother of Elaine Yong (nee Sue) and Michael Sue and his wife May. Beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Hum), and loving father to Marianne, Anthony and his wife Macarena, and Christina. Proud grandfather to Emma. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
On behalf of Dr. So, his family would like to express tremendous gratitude for the high quality of care provided by the team at the Renal Care Centre and Renal Department at the Credit Valley Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. George Wu and Dr. Catherine Cheung for their outstanding medical expertise and compassion.

Family and friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home “Mississauga Chapel” (420 Dundas Street East, Mississauga) from 5 – 9pm on both Thursday, April 7 and Friday, April 8. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 9:30am at Catherine of Siena Church (2340 Hurontario Street, Mississauga). Dr. So will be laid to rest at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, Serenity Garden (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville).
